Frequently used by missions or base camps (mountain climbing, military and relief organizations). Without water pressure it will provide up to 1 gallon / 4 liters an hour. Up to 3 gallons / 10 liters of filtered drinking water can be drained through the outlet tap without having to pump a single drop. The Katadyn Drip filter consists of two plastic containers stacked together. The upper container is filled with up to 3 gallons / 10 liters of untreated water. It is filtered by gravity, feeding through three ceramic elements and drips into the bottom container, giving safe clean drinking water. Up to 39'500 gallons / 150'000 liter can be filtered before the ceramic elements need to be replaced.
Katadyn-ceramic with a pore size of 0,2 micron (0,0002mm) diameter guarantees 100 % removal of bacteria and protozoa including chlorine resistant giardia, cryptosporidium, cholera, shigella, salmonella, E-coli, etc..You will get safe drinking water, retaining its natural mineral content, without the need for boiling.
